ONCOptimal
The ONCOptimal 2.0 project (Subcutaneous treatments for a more efficient oncology) is a scientific
initiative of the ECO Foundation, in which several entities related to the field of Oncology have
collaborated, with the aim of preparing a report on the impact of subcutaneous oncology treatments
on the efficiency of oncology day hospitals (HDO) in Spain.
This is expected to:
– Reduce the waiting time for the administration of oncology treatment in new patients once
diagnosed and in those already undergoing treatment on successive occasions.
– Humanize health care by optimizing waiting times and, therefore, the patient’s stay in the day
hospital.
– To prevent errors in the prescription, preparation and administration of medication.
